Tuesdays are for Lovers
Wedding things I love & adore this week. This should have been posted yesterday but I fell asleep before hitting “send.” Fluffy, girly, frilly wedding shoes. Favors for the ladies & favors for the gents. Black, deep purple, & white. My favorite. How much are they having?! I adore this shot. My girls & I spent many nights on my parents’ porch so a shot...

Ham & Asparagus Crescent Cups
This was one of my “clean out the fridge” ideas. I had bought ingredients to make chicken marsala, but then Frank didn’t want that for dinner so I was left with things to play around with. I also had a Crescent sheet roll in the fridge so that’s how these cups happened. They came out great. I could see them being used for brunch & I packed one for lunch today with a...

Fill in the Blank Friday ♥
It’s Friday & I finally have a weekend ahead of me where I won’t be running around like crazy. I’m getting takeout with my ladies tonight & spending the rest of the weekend doing the favors for the engagement party next weekend & getting our house ready for guests. Definitely looking forward to a low key weekend. 1. My idea of pure perfection would be not having to...

Breakfast Pockets
My awesome friend Erica made these, & in our typical sharing of food porn fashion, she sent me a picture when they were finished. I told her I needed to blog about them & needed the recipe right away. I never think to make simple things like this. Erica is much better at that than I am. I imagine that once you make these once you can make them over & over with different ingredients....

Crunchy Asian Chicken Salad
Everyone has seen the recipe around the internet that uses ramen noodles in salads, but I’ve always been wary about it. I decided to finally make a version & it was much better than I imagined. I always assumed raw ramen noodles would be like eating raw pasta (which is gross). I was wrong. I made a huge batch of this last night to eat all week & was happy with the results. This...

Tuesdays are for Lovers
A few people have asked me to keep them up to date on wedding things through my blog (by a few people I mean a select # of aunts, cousins, & friends outside of NY). This is going to be my “wedding series” on here. Every Tuesday I will post my absolute favorite wedding related things of the week. Why Tuesdays? I don’t know. I just felt like starting this today. This sash....

As if I needed another reason to ♥ NYC.
NYC Mandates Comprehensive Sex Education in Public Schools. This is wonderful. Thanks to Bloomberg, NYC is doing all sorts of great things lately. And in a climate in which sexual health has become increasingly stigmatized, the city’s approach is so straightforward it is both so refreshing and just-plain-common sense that it almost shouldn’t be news, but at the same time almost...

"Forever, you will be a disgraced police officer"...
Anyone living in New York knows that two police officers, Kenneth Moreno & Franklin Mata, have been in the headlines. These men, now former police officers (and rightfully so) were accused of rape after repeated visits to a heavily intoxicated woman’s apartment that they were supposed to be escorting home. Indicted in 2009, both men were acquitted of rape in May due to a lack of DNA...

Pork Chops with Bacon & Pineapple Sauce
I know what you’re thinking. Pork chops AND bacon in one dish? That’s a lot of pig. I assure you this was great though. The pork chops stayed moist from the pineapple sauce & the bacon was the perfect salty against the sweet pineapples. This recipe came together very fast & bakes for about a half hour. I had dinner on the table in under an hour last night & that makes me...

What I did on Summer Staycation
Remember writing about your summer vacation when you got back to school in September? My mom still has some of my notebooks from elementary school & I love reading through them for a few laughs. Here’s what I did on my summer staycation… It started on Friday with our families, cake & champagne to celebrate the Bar Exam being over. Then we went out for $1 beers &...

Fill in the Blank Friday ♥
I have been a terrible blogger this week! I’ve been home on “staycation” with Frank & have been all sorts of lazy. This week consisted of drinks, going to a Yankee game, lying by the pool, marathon naps, day drinking, German food, arcade games, a concert, finally watching Inception, and a two day trip to the Long Island vineyards complete with a fancy dinner, antique stores,...
